Our Opinion If Speyside malts can stylistically be segregated according to the influence of Sherry casks, then Glenfarclas sits comfortably in the middle of the Jerez division. A true classic, never overpowering, but a wonderfully harmonious drinking experience.

Wine Maker

Method of Production Glenfarclas employ the largest mash tun in the industry, measuring 10 metres wide. Continuing the 'bigger is better' theme, their direct-fired copper pot stills are on a grander scale than any other distillery in Speyside. Maturation takes place predominantly in casks which have previously held Oloroso and Fino Sherry, allowing Glenfarclas to be bottled without the addition of artificial colorants.
